Post #4 How to motivate oneself

Self-teaching has been a bit difficult. At least two weeks have passed since the last post. I've had problems staying motivated after looking at the chapter dealing with functions in Python Crash Course. I've also been furloughed again from the start of August, which should be the best time to put in more effort into learning. The chapter on classes also look a little daunting compared to the previous chapters.

Motivation has been an issue where I'm not sure how I'm going to use programming or how I will be able to switch careers. I'm hoping to switch considering the ceiling I'm seeing concerning my career so far and wage. That should be a good motivation, but I think I also have to like programming to make a switch like this.
